Robin Hood Energy
Outdoor advertising & illustration
In the past we’ve done numerous bits and pieces with Nottingham City Council, most notably our widely shared video [link to case study] welcoming students to Nottingham.
The Robin Hood Energy project was something new. Robin Hood Energy isn’t just the Council’s latest initiative; it’s also the first of its kind, as the only not‐for‐profit energy company to be owned by a local authority. It’s been designed especially to support the local community, offering extra‐low tariffs to ensure all of Nottingham’s residents are provided with affordable energy.
To promote the scheme the Council were looking for an appealing character to feature in an outdoor advertising campaign. So, our in‐house illustrator set to work on a quirky and memorable Robin Hood character, which then became the star of our series of outdoor ads.
The campaign itself was pretty difficult to miss. Our ads and illustrations showed up everywhere: on billboards, the cover of the Council’s magazine, and on the side of the Nottingham Council House building. Nottingham City Council were really happy with our work, and even asked us to draw up a Christmas edition especially for the festive season.
It’s great to have been involved in the Robin Hood Energy initiative. We hope it’s a brilliant success!
