Since joining the Together team six months ago, Ben has been busy elevating our digital offering to reach new heights.
As head of the digital team, Ben has been combining the agency’s digital offering with our behavioural science insights and UX/UI skills to create unmissable projects. Delivering across strategy, apps, websites and digital ads to name but a few, it’s safe to say Ben’s had a busy few months…
Here’s his lowdown on life in Together’s digital team.
I'm responsible for the whole digital output of the agency, so that means running the team that delivers our digital strategy, websites, apps, emails and digital advertising for all of our clients. I oversee our client work, linking the design, account management, project management and development teams together, to ensure we constantly deliver fantastic solutions.
Firstly, it's about understanding what we are great at and where we might be lacking. Once I got into the role it became very clear, very quickly, that we have been producing fantastic sites. Then it’s about being single minded to say, 'this is what we stand for, and this is what we do well.' Once you have that, you can build out that offering into strands such as strategy, workshops, design and development.
For me, it’s the mix of using behavioural science and the fantastic UX/UI design team we have. When people use the web and digital experiences, they use them with preconceived ideas of what to expect before they even start. This comes from behavioural psychology. At Together, having the ability to dig into this through digital workshops and user persona creation means that we can create experiences that hit what a user expects - and that really sets us apart.
Working with such a talented team. There is so much potential at Together; a) with the client base we have and b) utilising the skills we have, to deliver beautiful digital experiences that work.
Most agencies have a tendency to say yes to everything, but I see a real strength in being able to say no, and being confident in our skill set. At Together we specialise in particular areas, and those areas are where we will really add value. Making those services clear from the start really helps our clients to understand how we can help them achieve their goals.
Growing the offering, the team and ultimately delivering exciting digital experiences to the customers of our clients. Using behaviour and psychology to drive those experiences is key for us.
