Ready to tune into the trending sounds on TikTok and make your videos sing? We’ve put together six easy ways to find trending sounds on TikTok to help your videos get more reach and maybe even go viral!
If you’re posting on TikTok and you haven’t already bookmarked TikTok Creative Center then this is your note to do it. It’s effectively a guide to the platform's biggest trends, from hashtags to creators, songs and trending videos. The creative center allows you to search trending content within a set time frame and specific regions so you know what is happening across the globe, making it a great place to find not only trending sounds but trending content and hashtags.
You may have seen that a lot of the younger generation, Gen Z’s especially, are using TikTok as a search engine. In fact studies show that TikTok is currently deemed the fourth most-popular search engine. There is already proof that the search function in TikTok is pretty good so it’s a good place to start when looking for trending sounds in the app. Just type ‘trending sound’ in the search, tap the ‘Sounds’ tab and scroll through the list. You’ll see some sounds are labelled ‘popular’ these are the sounds that you want to be paying close attention to.
Another great place to look for trending sounds on TikTok is by looking through their playlists. When you create a TikTok and select “add sound” you can use the search function to bring up the sound library, then head to ‘Discover more sounds’. This takes you to the main library area where you will find sounds recommended for you and a range of categories created by TikTok. Looking through this library, you will find popular songs to use in your next post.

Last but not least is using websites that are devoted to tracking trending TikTok sounds. Sites like TokChart and Tokboard update their sites fairly regularly with trending sounds you can use, giving you information about the audio and how many views the sound has gained.
One of the most fool-proof ways to identify trending TikTok sounds is to stay active on the platform. The more you engage with TikTok, the more tailored the algorithm becomes to your interests. Although the content pushed to you will align with your niche and what you’ve recently been watching, you'll soon recognise songs and sounds that keep popping up on your For You Page (FYP) again and again—these will be trending ones within your niche.
And there you have six easy ways to find trending sounds on TikTok to help boost your reach on the platform. If you’re new to TikTok or need help creating content, reach out to our social media team who will be more than happy to help or head over to our guide to learn more about how the platform can help your business.
