When Scottish distillery Eden Mill reached out for a hand with their socials, we knew it was in need of some added spirit. Based on the coast of St Andrew’s, Eden Mill is steeped in heritage, which we drew upon in our social strategy to embody the coast of Scotland within the brand’s messaging.
As Scotland’s first combined brewery and distillery, Eden Mill had a heritage to shout about. Since establishing in 2012, the Scotch whisky and gin produced at Eden Mill was consistently of high quality, and needed a social strategy to match.
Within our social strategy, we established a tone of voice as well as a set of content pillars for all content to fall under, to keep things consistent. To begin, we produced a portfolio of still images to draw on within the feed and paid ads.
We travelled to Scotland on a trimonthly basis, to ideate with the brand and to plan, photograph and film content for their feed. As well as still content, we pushed Eden Mill’s socials forwards with the addition of Reels, including two of their most successful Reels to date. Introducing videos to the mix offered more opportunities to share recipes, the heritage of St Andrews, and the Eden Mill products in a new light.
