Lumishore are a global brand who provide premium marine lighting systems for yachts, superyachts and leisure boats. Their website wasn’t e-commerce, instead it acted as more of a digital catalog, so it was struggling to bring in conversion rates. They need a a new website that would be more informative and allow for an easier UX process, easily guiding the audience to find a distributor of the Lumishore products. That’s when we got on board.

understand who was
visiting the website,
and why.

The original audience personas provided by the client were quite brief, so we ran a UX immersion workshop to dig a little deeper and add some dimension. We found personas for the US, UK and Europe and knew we had to adapt the tone, messaging and user journey to adhere to the cultural differences.

We also discovered that the website had to cater for different needs, split between leisure yachts and superyachts – being based in Nottingham meant that we had a good breadth of knowledge regarding this subject – so we began to build further narratives around this type of persona.

A more efficient website

The digital team created a stunning website that was much easier to navigate and had a much more premium feel to it. We tailored user journeys that made it easier for the customer to sail through the voyage of awareness, consideration and commitment. By incorporating subtle nods to the Maritime sector throughout the user journey, such as an interactive flow of the website that mimicked the way water moves, we were able to connect the brand to the premium industry a little more.

Our after package ensures we are there to offer Lumishore support from a technical perspective on an on-going basis.
